The Missouri River Hills COA is located between St. Louis and Columbia between the Missouri River and Interstate 70 and extends from Warren County on the east side to Callaway County on the west side. There are several large tracts of public land for all to enjoy within the boundary of the COA.
About the Area:
The Missouri River Hills COA is a landscape with extreme topography bisected by streams. The geology and soils of the COA are highly varied creating a landscape with continual habitat changes. Habitats include forest, woodland, glade, savannah, prairie, wetland, caves, streams and lakes and ponds. Many different species of wild plants and animals occur in the COA.
